'Thuru Kepakaru' island-wide Tree Planting Campaign launched

COLOMBO (News 1st): "Thuru Kepakaru" - an island-wide tree planting campaign, jointly launched by GAMMADDA and Sri Lanka Scout Association commenced on Friday (Mar. 26). The specialty of this initiative is that each plant sapling planted under the programme will be assigned a respective owner to ensure its protection. The "Thuru Kepakaru" tree-planting campaign is conducted with the support of the Central Environmental Authority.
