Acquire Shangri-La over sugar, oil scams : Wijeyadasa

COLOMBO (News1st): The Shangri-La Hotel must be acquired by the government for the massive losses caused due to the sugar and coconut oil scam, lawmaker Dr. Wijeyadasa Rajapaksha has said. "This government must do this. If not who else will pay for this loss. Is it paid by the Finance Minister's account? Or is it through the pockets of the Secretary to the Ministry?" Rajapakshe had questioned. He had made these remarks in an interview to a weekend newspaper. The parliamentarian had said that he would have investigated the scams within a couple of weeks
