Indian arrested for vandalizing Buddha statues in Kuliyapitiya

Colombo (News 1st): An Indian national was arrested for allegedly damaging several Buddha statues in Kuliyapitiya, said Sri Lanka Police on Friday (19).
Police said, several statues located in Ratmalewatte, Kuliyapitiya were damaged in Thursday (18) night. Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana speaking to News 1st said the Indian was arrested on suspicion of his involvement in the incidents. The suspect was produced in court and remanded to the 29th of March.Other Articles
