Sri Lanka Railways Warns of Environmental Harm from Plastic Bottle Disposal

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka Railways has raised concerns over severe environmental pollution caused by the illegal disposal of plastic bottles at railway stations and along railway tracks.

Deputy General Manager of Sri Lanka Railways, M. J Indipolage said that passengers on long-distance trains often dispose of plastic bottles carelessly on the tracks. 

He emphasized that this informal disposal method leads to numerous environmental problems.
