22 criminal associates arrested so far this year - STF

Colombo (News 1st); 22 people connected to criminal syndicates were arrested so far in 2021, following island-wide raids carried out by the Police Special Task Force.

The Police STF said those arrested had close ties with notorious criminals Ruwan Nadun Chinthaka also known as Harak Kata, Suren, Navy Ruwan, Kudu Selvi, and Hybrid Suranga. Heroin, ICE, weapons, swords, and ammunition were seized from the possession of these suspects. The Police Special Task Force said it will continue operations to combat criminal enterprises, drug trafficking and to arrest those connected to such criminal activity.
