Western Province schools to re-open on 15th Feb?

Colombo (News 1st); Education Minister Professor G. L. Peiris on Monday (01) said authorities would explore the possibility of re-opening schools in the Western Province on the 15th of February, subject to approval from the health authorities.

At present, schools in the Western Province are only open for students sitting for the G. C. E. Ordinary Level Examination this year. The respective regional coordinating committee of Colombo, Kalutara, and Gampaha Districts have conveyed to the respective health authorities the possibility of re-opening a majority of the schools in the Western Province.
