President Reaffirms Commitment to Election Promises

COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Anura Kumara Dissanayake has reaffirmed his commitment to fulfilling all promises made to the people during the last presidential and general elections.

He expressed these views at a rally organized by the National People's Power in Vavuniya yesterday.

President emphasized the commitment to never betraying the public’s trust, expressing confidence that even those who doubted them in the past, now believe in the country’s new direction. 

He said for the first time in Sri Lanka’s history, a government focused on the people is being built.

He further noted that the belief that ruling was a birthright of the elite has been broken, and today, the nation holds hope for the future.

The President promised that, with continued public trust, the country will be transformed and built together with the people.
