President visits Medirigiriya to solve the peoples' issues

The 6th phase of the "Gama Samaga Pilisadarak" program was held in Wedikachchiya, Medirigiriya, Pollonaruwa.

The Polonnaruwa District is one of the worst affected by the Human-Elephant Conflict.

The president had instructed officials to build electric fences and take necessary measures to address this issue in the area.

Other issues faced by the people in the fields of Agriculture, self-employment, employment, and access to drinking water were presented to the president, and solutions to these issues were given to the people through officials.

In line with the program, the president also attended the opening ceremony of the Polonnaruwa Mahaweli Primary school.

He was invited by former President Maithripala Sirisena who spearheaded the construction of this school.
