COLOMBO (News 1st): The State Ministry of Primary Health Care, Epidemics, and COVID Disease Control hopes to change the health guidelines currently in place to control the COVID-19 pandemic on the advice of expert committees, ministry officials.
Discussions were held on the possibility of taking necessary steps to prevent the obstacles faced by the public due to the decisions taken so far, Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva, the Secretary to the State Ministry of Primary Health Care, Epidemics and COVID Disease Control said on Sunday (Dec. 27).
According to Dr. Amal Harsha de Silva, the scientific basis of certain aspects of the guidelines followed at present will be further examined.
Subject Minister Dr. Sudarshani Fernandopulle held discussions with the Committee of Experts appointed in this regard, the Ministry Secretary further said.
