Report on fire at Supreme Court complex to be submitted next week

The Government Analyst's report on the cause of the fire at the Supreme Court complex is due to be submitted during the coming week, police said.

57 Statements have been recorded from members of the janitorial staff and security officers at the Supreme Court Complex, Police Spokesperson DIG Ajith Rohana said. 

Investigators have also examined CCTV footage at the Supreme Court complex.

The fire did not cause any damage to the archives or any other records at the court complex, DIG Ajith Rohana added.

The investigations are being conducted by a team led by an Assistant Superintendent of Police from the CID.
