Seven inmates at Bogambara prison test positive for COVID-19

COLOMBO (News1st): Seven inmates of the Bogambara prison have tested positive for COVID-19, government officials said on Sunday. The patients were detected upon conducting random PCR tests, prisons commissioner-general Chandana Ekanayake told media. Previously, 196 inmates at the Welikada prison were subjected to PCR tests out of which 23 had tested positive for the novel coronavirus. The patients were transferred to the Welikanda Hospital.
