Public urged to act responsibly in the wake of rising COVID-19 numbers

Colombo (News 1st); Heath Authorities have warned COVID-19 could reach disastrous levels in the country due to irresponsible actions of certain groups in the community.
Acting Director-General of Health Services Dr. Hemantha Herath Speaking to reporters on Friday (23) said young people with active lifestyles are less likely to face serious complications from COVID-19, however, the danger lies when the virus is transmitted to the elderly from them.
He urged all segments of society to restrict their travel plans and comply with the guidelines issued by the Health Authorities.
