Minuwangoda cluster continues to grow with 180 new cases on Tuesday(20)

Colombo (News 1st); 186 COVID-19 cases were reported on Tuesday (20), said the Department of Government Information.

180 of these cases were from the Minuwangoda Corona-virus cluster while the remaining 06 cases were returnees from overseas.

37 cases from the Minuwangoda Cluster have detected from Quarantine Facilities and the 83 other cases from the same cluster were close contacts.

The total number of COVID-19 cases from the Minuwangoda Cluster to date is at 2342.

In addition 03 returnees from Japan, 01 returnee from Qatar, and 02 returnees from Russia, all under quarantine, tested positive for COVID-19.

Accordingly, the total number of COVID-19 cases currently being treated in hospitals is at 2341.

The total number of confirmed COVID-19 cases in Sri Lanka today is at 5811.

3457 patients who recovered in full have been discharged from hospitals.
