Payment of Rs. 5,000 each to affected families in the Gampaha District where quarantine curfew is in effect - Ministry of Finance

COLOMBO (News 1st): payment of Rs. 5,000 each to affected families in the Gampaha District where the quarantine curfew is in effect will commence from tomorrow, the Ministry of Finance said. According to Finance Ministry Secretary S. R Attygalle Rs. 400 million has been allocated for this purpose to provide relief to 75,000 affected families in the Gampaha district. This measure was taken following a request submitted to the Finance Ministry by the Gampaha District Secretary Sunil Jayalath on the 14th of this month.
