Colombo (News 1st); 69 apparel workers in Minuwangoda have tested positive for COVID-19, confirmed Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva, the Head of National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army.
On Saturday (03) evening, an apparel worker tested positive for COVID-19 in Minuwangoda and the entire family was quarantined, said the Army Commander.
All the close contacts who were working with her in the factory were also quarantine and on Sunday (04) authorities conducted their PCR tests.
