Ex-Police Chief Jayasundara and Ex-Def. Sec. Kapila Waidyaratne to testify at PCoI

COLOMBO (News 1st): Former Inspector General of Police - Pujith Jayasundara and Former Defence Secretary Kapila Waidyaratne will testify today (Sept. 23) at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the 2019 April 21st attacks. Former Police Chief, Pujith Jayasundara and Former Defence Secretary Kapila Waidyaratne testified before the commission yesterday (Sept. 22) as well. The Presidential Commission of Inquiry probing the 2019 April 21st attacks said 288 people have so far testified at the commission, while statements have been recorded from 1421 people. The official term of the commission is set to conclude on the 20th of December 2020.
