Colombo Port Welcomes One of the World's Largest Container Vessels

COLOMBO (News 1st); The MSC MARIELLA, one of the largest container vessels in the world, made a port call at Colombo Port on April 28, 2025, docking at the Colombo East Container Terminal.

The MSC MARIELLA, measuring 399.90 meters in length and 61.30 meters in width, with a carrying capacity of 240,739 tonnes, highlights Sri Lanka’s capability to accommodate the largest and most advanced vessels in the industry.

The arrival of this colossal ship emphasizes the strategic role of Colombo Port in international trade and logistics.
