Seven injured in a train accident

Seven people were injured in a train accident in the Payindikulama area in Thambuththegama this morning. A cab collided with a mail train traveling from Mannar to Colombo while attempting to cross the Ariyagama railway crossing at around 1.10 this morning, Police stated. According to the police, two of the injured are being treated at the Thambuththegama Hospital while the other five are being treated at the Anuradhapura Hospital. Police further stated that the condition of one of them is serious. The Railway Department stated that there was no obstruction to train services due to the incident.
