Mother & Son arrested for trafficking drugs in Pita-Kotte

Colombo (News 1st); Sri Lanka Police arrested a 42-year-old woman and her 19-year-old son for the possession of 800 grams of heroin in Beddagana, Pitakotte.
Police said the suspects had carried out their drug trafficking operation from a rented house located down Ananda Mawatha in Beddagana, Pitakotte.
In addition, Sri Lanka Police seized Rs. 07 Mn in cash from the possession of the suspects along with a car and a motorcycle.
The arrests were made based on a tip-off received by the Meegahawatte Police, and Senior DIG Deshabandu Tennakoon was also present with officers to carry out the raid.
