Diplomatic Staff Residence Robbed in Colombo

Colombo (News 1st); The residence of a Secretary attached to the Indian High Commission in Sri Lanka located down Castle Street in Borella was robbed on Friday (24).
Sri Lanka Police said the Break-in and Entry had taken place at around 01:00 PM adding US$ 2000/- and Rs. 10,000/- was stolen from the residence.
Sri Lanka Police suspect the burglary could be a drug addict.
An investigation is underway and detectives are using footage obtained from the CCTV cameras set up at the residence to identify the suspect.
