16 hour water cut in Kolonnawa and surrounding areas: NWSDB

COLOMBO (News 1st): The water supply to several areas in Kolonnawa, will be suspended for 16 hours starting 2:00 pm on Saturday (July 18), the National Water Supply and Drainage Board said on Friday (July 17). Accordingly, water supply will be suspended in the areas that come under the purview of the Kolonnawa Urban Council, Rajagiriya, Moragasmulla, Obeysekarapura, Bandaranayakapura, Nawala, and Koswatta. Further, the water cut will also affect the main road Rajagiriya to the Open University in Nawala, and all bi-roads along the way. "The water cut from 2:00 pm tomorrow till 9:00 am on Sunday, is due to an upgrade of the prevailing system," the National Water Supply and Drainage Board noted.
