Village in Puttlam transferred to Quarantine Camp

An entire village in Puttlam with over 100 people was taken away for quarantine. Army Commander and Chief of Defence Staff Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva speaking to News 1st said, they were taken to a quarantine camp as a person infected with Covid-19 was detected from the village. He said a quarantine centre is being constructed to move the villagers, close to Zahira Vidyalaya in Puttlam. He added, construction began last night.
