24 Hospitals in Sri Lanka ready to battle COVID-19 emergency

Colombo (News 1st)  - Health Minister Pavithra Wanniarachchi confirmed, a total of 24 hospitals across the island are equipped and ready to face any emergency related to COVID-19. These 24 hospitals are : (01) Colombo National Hospital - (02) Kandy General Hospital - (03) Hospital for Children - (04) Infectious Diseases Hospital - (05) Ragama Hospital - (06) Colombo North Hospital - (07) Anuradhapura Teaching Hospital - (08) Batticaloa Teaching Hospital - (09) Ratnapura Teaching Hospital - (10) Karapitiya Teaching Hospital - (11) Kurunegala Teaching Hospital - (12) Jaffna Teaching Hospital - (13) Badulla General Hospital - (14) Hambantota District General Hospital - (15) Badulla District General Hospital - (16) Negombo District General Hospital - (17) Gampaha District General Hospital - (18) Chilaw Base Hospital - (19) Polonnaruwa District General Hospital -  (20) Vavuniya District General Hospital - (21) Moneragala District General Hospital - (22) Kalutata District General Hospital - (23) Matara District General Hospital - (24) Marawila Base Hospital. In addition, another 12 hospitals are on standby to support and facilitate the treatment process of suspects cases, the Health Minister said. The Health Minister said the government decided to completely prohibit internal trips and tours with immediate effect until further notice.
