Colombo (News 1st) - The Sri Lanka Army and the tri forces are playing a pivotl role in battling the novel coronavirus in Sri Lanka.
Speaking to News 1st Army Commander Lieutenant General Shavendra Silva noted that 935 persons are currently under quarantine in three centers set up in Kandakadu, Punani, and Diyatalawa. He noted that 103 persons who arrived in the country since 7 am today are being transported to the quarantine center in Punani.
He added that the family of the first Coronaviru patient who was discovered yesterday has remained behind closed doors over the past 4 days. He noted that the patient's son, a grade 12 student of Ananda College, had not gone to school during this period. The Army Commander also called on the general public not to be deceived by false messages.
