President proposes to extend Marine drive till Panadura

COLOMBO (News 1st):- President Gotabaya Rajapaksa has highlighted the importance of extending the Marine Drive road up to Panadura. Issuing a statement, the President's media division, stated that the President had made these remarks during a meeting with officials of the Ministry of Roads and Highways this week. During the discussion, President Rajapaksa had instructed officials to obtain the assistance of local engineers in all construction activities. Speaking to News 1st, the Director-General of the Road Development Authority, Kamal Amaraweera said;

"Marine Drive extension now we have done up to Dehiwala and from Dehiwala to Panadura we have designed and given the feasibility to study to the University of Moratuwa. They will do the feasibility study based on the plan given by us. Soon after the feasibility study report is received we will go ahead with the work."
