Ex-Local Council Member Shoots Attacker Dead

Colombo (News 1st);  A tragic shooting incident in the Katiyana area in Katana has resulted in the death of an individual.

According to police reports, the incident involved a former local council member who was attacked by a person wielding a sharp weapon.

In response to the attack, the former council member fired shots, leading to the death of the assailant.

The council member, who sustained injuries during the altercation, has been hospitalized.

Police are currently investigating the circumstances surrounding the incident.
