JUST IN: UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake arrested

COLOMBO (News 1st):- UNP MP Ranjan Ramanayake has been arrested at his Madiwela residence a short while ago. Early this evening, a team of police personnel searched his residence. The police seized an unlicenced firearm, 118 rounds of ammunition and several DVDs from his house. Speaking to the media the MP stated, that there is no sadness in his heart and that he is going with happiness since he was expecting this as he always spoke the harsh truth. Explaining the reason for his arrest, he said that he was arrested because he had not renewed the license of the firearm provided by the government. He further said that he is only afraid of the Dhamma and not any other person and that he is not the person to cry and get admitted to the hospital since he does not have other illnesses. He also made a promise to not get admitted to the hospital when arrested.
