Mrs World 2020 Caroline Jurie returns home

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Returning with glory to Sri Lanka after 35 years, a mother of one, Caroline Jurie who was crowned Mrs World 2020 arrived in the country at dawn today (December 10th). A large entourage was present at the Bandaranaike International Airport to welcome Caroline who landed at the airport at 2:45 am. Caroline Jurie, Mrs World 2020 noted that she is glad that she was able to bring back the crown to Sri Lanka after 35 years. At about 7:00 this morning Caroline departed the airport amidst warm wishes extended to her by the crowds gathered on both sides of the road. Caroline received a warm welcome from her home town residents of Kandana. She was gracefully welcomed when she arrived in Colombo and thereafter she joined a media briefing. Caroline Jurie's husband noted that it was her dream to participate in a beauty pageant contest, and when she applied she was rejected twice. Chandimal Jayasinghe, popular makeup artist: "We got all of this because of Caroline. We should respect Caroline a lot. I request all the authorities of this Government to help our industry. There are ample people who can win the world. So please help us to create more people like Caroline in the future." Caroline's Jurie was crowned Mrs World after 35 years and was preceded by Rosy Senanayake.
