COLOMBO(News 1st) - Gammadda, a movement aimed at rural development and uplifting rural communities in Sri Lanka by providing practical and effective solutions to the issues faced by them, commenced another project today(November 28). The project was aimed at providing drinking water to the school children of Sudarshana Maha Vidyalaya in Thalawa Adampane in the Anuradhapura district. There are 240 students who receive education at the school. The locals in the area also joined hands with the members of the Gammadda team via the Gammadda Saviya Program to make this project a success. The water will be supplied to the school premises from a public water supply project located 300 meters away. Three water pipes will be installed at three separate locations of the school for children to access clean drinking water.
