COLOMBO (News 1st):- District Returning Officers states that a total voter turn out exceeding 40% has been recorded as at 12.00 pm
- The district returning officer of the Nuwara Eliya district, Rohana Pushpakumara states that the vote count so far exceeds 40% while also adding that people show much interest to cast their votes at the elections.
- The district returning officer of the Matale district, S. M. G. K. Perera states that the voter turn out stands at 40%.
