Colombo (News 1st): The Railway Department has decided to refund train tickets booked by the public from the Railway Department. Its General Manager Dilantha Fernando said this was taken due to the railway strike.
He said the money could be refunded by submitting the tickets to the railway stations once the strike is over. Fernando said the Army and the Police have been deployed to provide security at railway stations during the strikes. The Sri Lanka Transport Board says additional buses have also been deployed.
