7 Pakistani nationals sentenced to life in prison for smuggling heroin

Colombo (News 1st): Negombo High Court sentenced 7 Pakistani nationals for life imprisonment on charges of exporting, possession and trafficking heroin. The order was made after the suspects pleaded guilty to the offences. Three suspects, two males, and a female were arrested by the Police Narcotics Bureau while the remaining four suspects were arrested by Sri Lanka Customs. The stock of heroin found in possession of the seven suspects was 3 kilograms.
