Almsgivings around the country in remembrance of 04/21 victims

COLOMBO (News 1st): Marking three months since the 04/21 terror attacks, a number of events were held around the country to commemorate the victims who lost their lives. An almsgiving was organized at the Defence Ministry with the participation of the Maha Sangha. Religious leaders, the Defence Secretary, Commanders of the three Armed forces and others attended the event. An almsgiving was also held near the Kadawatha Bodiya. It was organized by the association of the Three-wheeler owners. Several Catholic priests also attended the event. A dansal was held opposite the St Anthony's Church in Pallandeniya, Kurnuegala commemorating the victims of the April 21st attacks. An almsgiving for 66 monks was organized in the Wivekashrama Hub in Deltota, Kandy. While another was organised at Kaluobba, Siyabalanduwa, Monaragala. It was organized by the area residents.
