Bank robbery attempt foiled in Gampaha

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Police have commenced investigations into the attempted robbery of a state bank in Udugampola, Gampaha. Police Media Division noted that three suspects had arrived at the bank at around 9 am today(May 28). The three suspects fled the bank as the security officer at the bank prepared to discharge his weapon. The police added that the three suspects used a motorbike as their getaway vehicle. Further investigations are underway to apprehend the suspects.
