COLOMBO (News 1st) - President Maithripala Sirisena arrived in Nairobi, Kenya last night (March 13) to attend the fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly as a special guest.
The President and his delegation were welcomed warmly at the Jomo Kenyatta International Airport in Nairobi.
President Sirisena is participating at the Assembly on an invitation extended by the President of Kenya Uhuru Kenyatta.
The fourth session of the UN Environment Assembly, which commenced on the 11th is to continue until tomorrow(March 15).
Sri Lanka's head of state is scheduled to address the Assembly today(March 14).
