Dehiwala Zoo's New Celebrity Residents: Himalayan Brown Bears from UAE

COLOMBO (News 1st); After years of anticipation, the Department of Zoological Gardens has received a pair of Himalayan Brown Bears as part of the international animal exchange program.

The bears, which were transferred from the United Arab Emirates, arrived in Colombo on February 10th. 

Following a mandatory one-month quarantine period to ensure their health and safety, the majestic creatures were officially unveiled to the public today at the Dehiwala Zoo.
