President Disanayake To Attend UN Vesak Day Ceremony As Chief Guest

COLOMBO (News 1st): President Anura Kumara Disanayake will attend the ceremony of the United Nations Day of Vesak in Ho Chi Minh City today, where he will deliver the keynote address as the event's Chief Guest.

President Anura Kumara Disanayake departed the island on May 03, on a state visit to Vietnam, at the invitation of Vietnamese President Luong Cuong.

Vietnamese President Luong Cuong warmly welcomed President Anura Kumara Disanayake during an official ceremony held in Hanoi yesterday, marking the commencement of President Disanayake's state visit.

The President further engaged in talks with the General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), 
and a range of other stakeholders, including members of Vietnam's business community.

President Anura Kumara Disanayake is expected to return to the island today, concluding his state visit to Vietnam.
