Property dispute leads to murder

Colombo (News 1st): The police have commenced investigations into a murder said to have been committed in Kolombagama, Kurunegala. A resident of Kanaththeruwa in Kolombagama had been found murdered. The police stated that the murder has taken place as a result of a property dispute. The victim was an unmarried 50-year-old person named N. M Herath. He was beaten to death. The Katupotha police said that there had been several complaints from two parties in the area regarding a property dispute. A 36-year-old woman and her husband who are suspected to have committed the murder have surrendered to the police. Further investigations are underway into the incident.
