UPDATE:- Pistol discovered in Wennapuwa accident site

COLOMBO (News 1st) - A foreign manufactured pistol has been discovered from the site of the accident that claimed the lives of six people and left three others injured this morning (January 20) in Wennapuwa. The Police suspect that the pistol was inside the vehicle that met with the accident. Further investigations into the incident are underway. According to the Police, the accident occurred at around 3.20am when a car crashed into a lorry. Two of the injured are receiving treatment at the Negombo General Hospital while one victim was transferred to the national hospital. The victims had been returning from a party when the accident occurred. The deceased have been identified as residents of Wennapuwa.
