Mihin Lanka paid for astrologer Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana's car

Colombo (News 1st) - Astrologer Sumanadasa Abeygunawardana informed the SriLankan airlines Presidential Commission today that Mihin Lanka had paid a loan of Rs.8.2 million for a vehicle which was gifted to him by former President Mahinda Rajapaksa in the year 2007, Testifying at the commission today, Astrologer Abeygunawardana stated that he had used this vehicle for eight-years. However, after the Government changed in 2015, this vehicle was taken back from its lessor, LOLC. Earlier it was revealed to the Commission that LOLC had bought 26 cars of the same model to use in SriLankan Airlines and Mihin Lanka. The Commission was informed that Rs.82 million worth loans were borrowed from Seylan Bank for the recovery of these 26 vehicles.
