A conspiracy to oust Ranil Wickremesinghe from party leadership

Colombo (News1st): UPFA Parliamentarian Chandima Weerakkody states that former UNP supporters are now rallying around Sajith Premadasa to oust Ranil Wickremesinghe. He notes that a conspiracy is in motion to oust Wickremesinghe from the party leadership and the party itself. Weerakody called on Ranil Wickremesinghe to stop worrying about the position of the Opposition leader, but to worry about his leadership and the membership of the party. MP Weerakkody noted that on his side a group of 100 has already agreed on Mahinda Rajapaksa, unanimously. "What we have to ask Ranil Wickremesinghe at this moment is to understand why there are people from our side who are trying to protect the UNP," said MP Weerakkody.
