COLOMBO (News1st) - Convening a media briefing in Colombo the SLFP commented on the political situation of the country.
UPFA MP Dilan Perera said that unless the Prime Minister himself decides to step down the court decision nor the "so-called motion" that was passed could do any harm to the Prime Ministership.
He continued to say that the TNA had stated that they will not be a part of a government formed by Ranil Wickremesinghe and that they will remain in the opposition adding that it proves that they do not accept the Prime Ministership of Ranil Wickremesinghe.
Also commenting on the matter UPFA MP S.B. Dissanayake said that although Ranil Wickremesinghe had the support of 117 people to create the current crisis that he has only 103 to make a government.
He further said that neither the UNP, the former Prime Minister, the JVP, the TNA nor the SLMC had challenged the removal of the former PM, the appointment of the new PM, or the establishment of the government.
