External forces behind Welikada prison strike - Minister Ranjith Madduma Bandara

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Minister of Public Administration & Management and Law & Order, Ranjith Madduma Bandara states that groups connected to organized crimes and drug rackets are attempting to sabotage Government efforts to abolish these practices from the country. The Minister believes that the protest organised by female inmates at the Welikada prison was organised by such groups. He added that regardless of actions taken by these external forces they would do whatever it takes to eradicate these malpractices from society.
