One dead following fire at Badulla warehouse

COLOMBO (News 1st) - One person died in a fire that erupted at a Motor spare parts warehouse along the Cocoa Watta road in Badulla. The fire had erupted around 1.45 early this morning (August 12) according to the police.  The victim, a 46-year-old resident of Badulla succumbed to his injuries after being hospitalized at the Badulla hospital. The building has been completely destroyed and an adjoining building has also been damaged from the fire. The cause of the fire has not yet been revealed. The loss caused due to the fire has not been estimated and the Badulla police is conducting further investigations into the matter.
