No more extremism, nationalism or terrorism - IGP

COLOMBO (News 1st) - Speaking at an event in Vavuniya today (August 04) Inspector General of Police Pujith Jayasundara commented on the "Power of Sri Lanka." The IGP confidently stated that there won't be any form of extremism, nationalism or terrorism in the country. He said the security has been ensured by the people of this country as human beings and as everyone has a fair chance under a common Sri Lankan identity. While noting that they have taken all possible measures to ensure national security, IGP Jayasundara noted that the various ethnic groups of country "bear no grudge" against each other. The IGP also noted that they have taken steps to prevent corruption at all levels in the country and even in the Police force. "This is the power of strength, this is the power of the people, this is the power of Sri Lanka, and this is the power of humanity." - IGP Pujith Jayasundara
