COLOMBO (News 1st) - Thailand's Prime Minister General Prayut Chan-o-cha arrived in the island on Thursday (July 12) on a two-day official visit. The Prime Minister arrived in Sri Lanka upon an invitation of the President Maithripala Sirisena.
The Thai PM and his wife were received at the Katunayake Airport by a group of ministers including Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe and was officially welcomed at the Presidential Secretariat by President Maithripala Sirisena.
The two leaders thereafter held bilateral discussions. During his visit, the Thai Prime Minister is due to sign four Memorandums of Understandings with Sri Lanka.
