Two dead and three injured in Vavuniya accident

COLOMBO (News 1^st) - An accident in the Puliyankulama area in Vavuniya claimed the lives of two people and injured three others. The police said the accident had occurred when a container traveling from the Vavuniya to Kilinochchi collided with a bus traveling in the opposite side. Preliminary investigations revealed that the accident occurred because the two vehicles were unable to control their speed. The driver of the container and a passenger traveling in the bus died. The injured are currently being treated at the Vavuniya Hospital.
