Sri lanka Clinches Men’s and Women’s Titles at CASA 7s

COLOMBO (News 1st): Sri Lanka emerged victorious in both the men’s and women’s categories at the Central and South Asian Rugby Sevens Championship (CASA 7s) held in Uzbekistan today.

The tournament featured teams from seven countries, with Sri Lanka producing dominant performances throughout the competition.

Sri Lanka qualified unbeaten for the men’s final, where they faced India.

The Sri Lankan side delivered an impressive display to defeat India 31-10 and secure the championship title.

Meanwhile, the women’s final was contested between Sri Lanka and Kazakhstan.

The Sri Lankan women’s team comfortably won the encounter, defeating Kazakhstan 27-0 to claim the women’s title.

With the victories, Sri Lanka secured both the men’s and women’s championships at the CASA 7s tournament.
