Draft Bill of "The Protection of the State from Terrorism Act (PSTA)" To Be Submitted to Justice Minister This Month

COLOMBO (News 1st) - The drafting of the revised bill titled The "Protection of the State from Terrorism Act" (PSTA) has been completed.

The committee responsible for drafting the bill stated that the revised bill has been forwarded to the Legal Draftsman’s Department.

The bill is scheduled to be handed over to the Minister of Justice within this month.

The "Protection of the State from Terrorism Act" (PSTA) was prepared by a committee of 17 experts headed by President’s Counsel Rianzie Arsekularatne.

Public consultations were held regarding the bill in February this year.
