Coconut Fertilizer Month Declared Nationwide

COLOMBO(News 1st); This month has been declared Coconut Fertilizer Month.

It has been named to promote the use of fertilizer for coconut cultivation.

Accordingly, Chairman of the Coconut Cultivation Board, Dr. Sunimal Jayakody, says fertilizer will be distributed to coconut growers across the island with the support of the Coconut Development Board.

The Chairman also says that 27,500 metric tons of coconut fertilizer have been received in the country with assistance from the Russian government.
